Essential Tips

It can be hard to remember which artery is which at 3AM. Here is an image to help! Below are some tips


Depending on the phase of contrast and the protocol (e.g. single phase, or multiphase) these studies can be challenging. Here are some tips:

  1. Use axial MIP images first, as this will help you quickly find abnormalities.
  2. If the study is multiphase, compare the arterial phase to the delayed phase. If flow is sluggish, an apparent occlusion on the arterial phase may fill in on the delayed phase images.
